Hanson’s service to Kansas and the practice of veterinary medicine is unmatched. The KVMA Board of Directors wishes Dr. Hanson a new journey of success and happiness in this new path of life.

Dr. Hanson asked to share a message with KVMA members and friends. Please see his message below.

Dear Kansas Veterinary Medical Association Members,

For the past twenty-four years, I have had the pleasure of working for the Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners and with the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association. Together, we have accomplished much in promoting
public health, safety, and welfare relative to the practice of veterinary medicine in our state.

“To everything there is a season”, and having achieved these many accomplishments together, I believe that the ‘season’ has arrived for me to retire from my position with the Board of Examiners. It has been an honor and privilege to serve. I so greatly appreciate the respect and professionalism you each have shown me. You have all been a great joy to work with.

“There is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his works.” Thank you all so much for your making this twenty-four year season such a great cause for rejoicing in the works we have done together.

Sincerely,
Dirk Hanson, DVM
