KVMA Health & Wellness Plan

In an ongoing effort to ensure all KVMA members have access to a strong health insurance plan, KVMA is pleased to announce the Health and Wellness Plan. The KVMA Board of Directors explored many options. The new plan provides both increased benefits and a cost reduction over most current plans.

KVMA has teamed up with Payne Financial Strategies and Kaw Valley Insurance to manage the plan. All benefit information is posted here.

The new plan includes the following features:

  • Nationwide provider network to better serve members and their families
  • Lower deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums
  • Zero co-pay for generic prescriptions

KVMA Health and Wellness Plan is available to any KVMA member and their employees. Membership is only $22/month.

What is a MEWA?

A MEWA is a multiple Employer Welfare Association. The KVMA has established a MEWA to provide a health insurance plan for our members and their employees.

What are the benefits of a MEWA?

  • Provide the benefits of a larger company, such as lower premiums with increased benefits
  • Plan options include traditional copay plans and high deductible plans with varying deductibles and coinsurance
  • By using a health assessment, the Plan may be less expensive than similar plans offered under the Affordable Care Act
  • The Plan is not subject to some of the ACA-mandated benefits so savings are passed along to the participant

2019 Schedule of Benefits

The Schedule of Benefits is applicable for all health plan participants regardless of age, gender, or health history.

Health Questionnaire

The health questionnaire must be filled out with the open enrollment form. You do not need to complete a second questionnaire if you have already submitted a form. If you have not already completed the Health Questionnaire, it is required for enrollment and should be submitted with your enrollment form as soon as possible.
